Inspired by quilt patterns and circular borders, intricate, retro, ribbon-like vines wrap around complex circle patterns as if they were stitched or sewn. This brush set is light and frilly; combining lacy-filigree with dot patterns, zig-zag lines, geometric shapes and ornate, victorian embellishments. All the original designed circles are single brushes larger than 2400 pixels in diameter. Many of the other brushes are layered circles with strokes, and designed for easy placement in the corner of a composition, photo or other graphic layout. For this reason, the designs are perfect for scrapbooking as they add the perfect final touch to your beautifully-designed pages.

All original artwork for Stitchy Circles is the creation of Jason Gaylor of Designfruit.

Included:

  • 32 Total high-resolution Photoshop brushes suitable for print.

Valentastic Valentine

Jason Gaylor » 12 February 2007 » In Everything, Photoshop Brushes, Vector Art » 118 Comments

I commissioned some folks at Blacksuits Creative Departika to help out on some designs for this Valentine set of Photoshop Brushes, PNGs, EPS, and Illustrator vector art. There is quite a mix of ideas here. Thanks to Katie Canada, Dan Spencer, and Erik Rothrock for helping me put these together. Would have had them up earlier but my hosting company decided to shut down my site for a few days because my traffic was maxing out the CPU on their shared server. :)

I’m now on a Dedicated box. Whatever the heck that means. Hopefully that won’t happen again. I’m glad to be back…

Tasty Tattoo Photoshop Brushes, Vector Art, and PNGs

Jason Gaylor » 13 September 2006 » In Everything, Photoshop Brushes, Vector Art » 250 Comments

Tattoos, Tatoos, Tattos, Body Art, Super Cool Body Paint For Your Mom, whatever you want to call it. I embarked on a journey last week to create some tattoo inspired brushes. I sat down with some graph paper, a pencil, and some tattoo magazines. Taking cues from some of my favorites I drew several designs, scanned them, traced my sketches in Illustrator, converted my art to vector, and then I brought them into Photoshop and made a nice little set of brushes for you. If you’ve used my brushes before then you know the drill. If you’re a newbie, read on…

These brushes are big, so they are ideal for print work. You can use them for Web stuff as well, but you will need to size them down. Most of them are around 1800-2400 pixels wide or tall. Here’s a few examples I created to illustrate what you can do with the Tasty Tattoo Set:

Brush Compatibility
This Brush Set Works with CS and CS2 versions of photoshop. For those of you using earlier versions of Photoshop or other editing software I have created a series of PNG Files (8.0 MB) for $14.99. These should open in almost anything else.

Vector Files For Purchase
The original vector files for this set can be purchased. You must have vector editing software (such as Adobe Illustrator, or Macromedia Freehand) to edit this file. Included in this download is an AI, and an EPS file compatible with Adobe Illustrator version 8 and above. Since there are a lot of designs, I’ve divided them into 3 individual sets. You can buy them individually or purchase them all and save $3.

Download Instructions For the Photoshop Brush Set
1. Buy and download the brushes here (4.3 MB) for $14.99.
2. Select the paint brush in the Photoshop tools.
3. From the brushes palette choose “Load brushes…”

Sell the full set on your site and make $20.25
It’s easy. I’m offering you 75% of every sale if someone buys this vector set from your site. So for every one you sell at $27.00, you get $20.25, and I get $6.75. It’s free for you and super easy. Get the code now!

2. Select the paint brush in the Photoshop tools.
3. From the brushes palette choose “Load brushes…”
4. Navigate to your brand new brushes and happy times begin.

Layers For Photoshop 7
If you’re using version 7, you won’t be able to use these brushes. However, you can download the layers file here [Part I] Each brush has been stamped on a seperate layer.

Defining Your Own Brushes
If you’d like to convert these into brushes, it’s easy. Simply turn on one of the layers and go to edit>define brushes. After this, your brush will appear in the brushes pallete. If you need more information on making your own there are plenty of resources out there. Try a quick search on google, or look in the photoshop help for “defining a brush.”
