Inspiring. You’re making quite a name for yourself on these brushes alone! I’ve met some random artists/designers that have heard of the FF Bruches.
July 18th, 2006 at 9:30 pm
These brushes are incredible. I just went through them one by one in Photoshop and my heart was just about to explode. They are so beautiful. Looking at them like that was like watching fireworks; a breathtaking display over and over again. I actually gasped when I got to Sampled Brush 32 and saw the photographic branch and the out-of-focus branches in the background. Amazing.

I wish I could download these brushes, but sadly my photoshop was ripped away from me…so sad. Maybe I will get one soon enough that and illustrator.
I love the second picture, burgundy and grey are my favorite color combination.

Hi Jason.
Just discovered your brushes today through a message board posting on twopeasinabucket.com. Your brushes are amazing and i can’t wait to use them with my digital scrapbooking. By the way, saw your designs for the XA world summit on your site and then it dawned on me…are you related to Dennis Gaylor? My husband and I were Chi Alphans ten years ago with Curt Harlow’s group in California. How exciting to be finding your site and then find out that you’re involved with XA. I really appreciate you allowing your fabulous brushes to be used for free. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing your brushes. Since I couldn’t find your email address, I’m asking if I can use your brushes for graphic design at our church. I figured I’d ask since I get paid to work for the church as an associate pastor who somehow gets to be responsible for all the graphic stuff (I’m not bitter…but ministry is kinda funny with all the hats that you end up wearing). Just wanted to cover all my bases and also just say, “great work!”

your brushes are mini works of art! i downloaded the first set several months ago, but just recently put them to work in my masthead of my blog. so far, it’s subtle, and a work in progress. as i learn to tidy things up, i’ll probably come back to your brushes again. do you require a link back? not that anyone is hitting my little site. ;o)

Hi Mr. Gaylor,
Your brushes are insanely GORGEOUS! And I cannot believe how BIG they are! I couldn’t find your email address on this site, so I hope you get this message … I see that you have a couple of requests from some digital scrapbookers. I’m a digi scrapper too, but I don’t design digital elements for sale. Instead, I create custom collages for sale. I’m wondering if I can use these brushes in my work, with proper credit to you? Thanks so much for any info!

Hey Jason! Here via Design Mom and these are absolutely gorgeous! I’m a bit of a newbie to designing (it’s more of a hobby than anything else), and use the Mac GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Program) to work with stuff.
I have what may be a stupid question: will the vector files work with the GIMP? If so, I’ll gladly purchase…but wanted to make sure that everything would work before I purchased.
January 15th, 2007 at 2:46 pm
Yes, they will via the EPS files that I have provided. If they don’t I will give you your money back.

Hi, I downloaded your brushes. Thank you, they are wonderful. But I have one question. I never tried to load brushes in Photoshop before I found your brushes, and read how to do it. I managed to bring them to Photoshop, but they all were put in one brush palette (wet media brushes). I wanted to put them into a different category, but I don’t know how to do it. Can you please help me? Thank you so much.

I can’t tell you how much it made my day to find your BEAUTIFUL - FREE brush sets. I got my issue of Digital Scrapbooking mag - they were used on the cover layout - and jumped right out at me. Phenomenal!
I hate to sound greedy, but is it still possible to get the ‘Choice Spring’ kit?
Thanks so, so, so much!

March 18th, 2008 at 11:12 pm
Hey these are so great! I am fairly new to photoshopping, sort of, and have been figuring it all out through tutorials and trial and error. I used the layers version for my photoshop and I was wondering how I can make them show up in different colors when I use them, because they all seem to appear as gray. I know this is some sort of user mistake on my part, but I really have no clue as to what setting I should change. Your help is much appreciated! Great work!!!
March 18th, 2008 at 11:18 pm
nevermind. I was making a very very foolish mistake I overlooked. :)
